A TOOT bar is no more likely to set off a fire alarm more than smoking a cigarette of another form of e-cigarette.
TOOT bars don’t generally set off smoke alarms; most smoke alarms you come across won’t detect TOOT vapour. However, if you happen across one which detects the particle change or broken light beam, it could set the alarm off. These alarms aren’t typically found within homes & in most public places.
1. PHOTOELECTRIC SMOKE DETECTORS
These alarms detect the disruption of the beams of light around it. This is the most common type of smoke alarm and the most sensitive to the vapour from a TOOT product, which can sometimes break the light beam just as smoke would. It’s still unlikely that the alarm would go off as our products release minimal clouds.
2. IONIZATION BASED SMOKE DETECTORS
Ionization-type smoke alarms have two electrically charged plates, which ionizes the air and causes current to flow between the plates. When smoke enters the chamber, it disrupts the ions’ flow, thus reducing the flow of current and activating the alarm. This is still unlikely to happen as the amount of vapour exhaled into the air around is too small to disrupt the airflow; however, if many people are using our products at once in a small unventilated room, it may cause an issue.
3. HOW TO PREVENT AN ALARM GOING OFF
You can prevent a smoke alarm from going off by simply making sure sufficient ventilation within the room you are vaping in. You can do this by leaving a door to another room open, opening a window or looking for vents within your chosen room.
